CASSIE
Cassie is a young female Podenco, around 2 years old. She was rescued from the perrera with the bottom of her right back leg missing, thought to have been caught in a trap. She is a fit, agile girl, confident and friendly, and we have spent many weeks assessing her. We have found that she is very happy as she is, able to go on long hikes, run with the other dogs, and live a totally normal life. Her stump is well formed, and solid, and she uses it on soft ground, but holds it up on rough or hard ground, thereby causing it no damage.
She is looking for a new home where she can spend many happy years. She loves people, and other dogs, and is a happy, affectionate girl. Having now fostered her for several weeks, i feel other dogs are important to her, she really likes to be one of the pack. She also prefers women to men. Originally known as Tilly, which she didn't react to at all, I call her Cassie (Hopalong Cassidy!) and she responds very well, now coming when called.
